Our Story

Three workshops. One philosophy. We merge traditional craftsmanship with smart modern tools: Forged metal shaped by hammer and press. Solid wood carved for function and beauty. Premium leather cut and stitched to last. Using the best of old techniques and new technology, we create honest goods for everyday use.

The forge was a logical continuation of my passion for leatherworking. From 2013 I have been developing my workshop, creating unique leather goods. The experience of working with metal has emphasized many common features between these craft spheres: manual work, responsibility before the process and material results that bring satisfaction to the common man. Our work serves him for years, bringing quality and individuality to his life.

A Reverse Journey: From Inspiration to the Source

Striving upward while remaining grounded

Wood, leather, and metal come together in my hands, and this union embodies the simplicity and power of nature. I know that there is always somewhere to strive higher, towards something new, towards perfection. But true value lies not only at the end of the journey: it is already here — in the process itself, in the benefit to people and in the touch of living material, which makes every movement meaningful.

Present: Harmony of Materials and Craft

Today, our three workshops work as a single organism — metal, wood, and leather meet in the hands of masters and on machines, creating products where machine precision intertwines with the warmth of handwork. Every element is treated with care to preserve the soul of the item, even as production grows. Here, tradition, technology, and love for true craftsmanship come together.

When machines give way to human hands

Rough processing saves time and effort, transforming a block of wood into a blank. But true quality is born further along the process, where the craftsman`s hands come into play. Every sanding, every movement during finishing and polishing is performed carefully and gently, so that the wood takes on its final shape and character.

Wood and new opportunities

The woodworking shop became a natural extension—after all, knives need boards, and axes need handles. But without the help of machines, this path would have been long and expensive, just like in the old days. Automation made it possible to create high-quality items faster and more affordably. It is precisely the desire to make things that were once rare available to ordinary people that drives him forward and gives him the strength for new ideas.

Where fire meets precision

Each wall of sparks is not just a spectacle, but part of the path to the perfect blade. The machine confidently removes excess material, giving the metal precision and shape, while the master sets the direction and controls the result. This combination of fire and technology gives birth to a reliable tool — sharp, durable, and truly useful in human hands.

From a spark to a big business

Blacksmithing began as a bold experiment, almost like a hobby. The first hammer blows brought not only success, but also mistakes — and it was these mistakes that led to new discoveries. Over time, the small forge grew into a spacious workshop. Thanks to automation, it is now possible to create products that previously seemed unattainable and give more people the opportunity to experience the craft firsthand.

From craftsmanship to inspiration and new horizons

I used to take on every order myself—working with leather for hours, creating items from the initial idea to the final stitch. Over time, the workshop grew, reliable assistants appeared, and now the work has become broader and bolder. This gave me the freedom to create in the forge and develop my woodworking skills, bringing large and ambitious projects to life. And yet, leather remains special to me: even now, when such orders are rare, I happily take on the work with my own hands, as if returning to the beginning of my journey.

Tiring but enjoyable work in a cramped workshop

Beginning of a professional journey (2013-2018). The birth of a child and changes in the country became the starting point. A hobby turned into a profession. The first leather workshop was a risk and a belief in one`s own business.

I don`t have my own place, but I have a strong desire to create

Childhood and youth. My father saw potential where others saw trash. Brass beds became candlesticks, boards became cladding. It taught me: value is created by the hands and eye of the craftsman.

It showed me that we create the world around us and we need to use what we have here and now.

“Each creation is a fragment of legacy, and nothing brings me greater happiness than seeing it find a home in your everyday moments—where the whispers of the past dance gracefully with the pulse of the present.”

Ivan Pohvalin — Workshop Founder

Greetings, I am Ivan Pokhvalin, the creator of a blacksmithing workshop responding to the needs of customers from the US and Ukraine who were looking for forged products made with classic techniques.

We provide affordable tools for home and work, including chef`s knives, axes, barbecue accessories, while maintaining the unique features of forged manufacturing. I am confident that using my tools will bring you enjoyment for years to come, perhaps even your children will use them.

For over 10 years I have been leatherworking and creating tool covers for instruments exported to the American market. When I learned that my partners could not find a supplier of forged axes and tools, I decided, "Why not. I`ll do it!".

With confidence in my abilities, began searching for equipment across the country and making my dream a reality. We have successfully launched production, continually improving it, and despite continual investment in new equipment to make production cheaper, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised at the value for money of our products.
